The chance of snow is back in the forecast, but don't go breaking out the shovels just yet.

A storm that has been taking aim on Southcentral for most of the day will continue to push inland through the overnight hours. With temperatures expected to fall into the mid 30s through the overnight hours, it's possible we could see a changover to a wintry mix for Anchorage. While that will be the case, elevation higher than 1,500 feet will see a better chance of accumulating snow with upwards of 2 inches of snow possible.

While a wintry mix is possible, Anchorage will see little impacts through the night into Friday. Thankfully, the winds die down as we head into the night leading to better visibility as you head out the door for your Friday.

Looking for the sunshine? Partly sunny skies return as we head into the latter half of Friday, with dry conditions to start the weekend. This is good news for those heading to Alyeska for the annual Spring Carnival, as partly sunny skies and highs near 50 can be expected.

Enjoy your Friday!
