Suspect in Mountain View Holiday gas station homicide considered 'armed and dangerous'
Anchorage police have named a man, originally labeled as a person of interest, as a suspect a deadly shooting at a Holiday gas station on Mountain View Drive this week.
Tierre Eady, 43, is described as being around 6 feet tall, 210 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes, an alert from the Anchorage Police Department said Tuesday night.
According to the alert, police have obtained a warrant for Eady's arrest on first-degree murder charges and two counts of second-degree murder.
Police say Eady should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen, police say do not approach him and call 911.
Officers responded to the gas station after reports of shots fired after 10 a.m. Monday. When they arrived, police say officers found a man with life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.
The man, later identified as Jerry R. Sales, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 42 years old.
"The preliminary investigation found that this may have stemmed from some sort of altercation," police said in an earlier community alert.
Anyone with information on Eady's whereabouts is asked to call police dispatch at 311. Anonymous tips can be called in to Anchorage Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or submitted online.
