APD arrests 19-year-old connected to Hoyt Street shooting
Anchorage police have arrested a teen for his role in a Dec. 10 shooting in the Russian Jack Park neighborhood.
Police responded to a report of a shooting Dec. 10 just after 8 p.m. in the neighborhood near Hoyt Street and Malaspina MHP Loop. Upon arriving, officers found a female victim who had been shot in the upper body.
According to a community report from the Anchorage Police Department, an unidentified person fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene.
The victim was take to the hospital with serious injuries that were reportedly not life-threatening.
An update from the Anchorage Police Department on Dec. 19 stated they had arrested 19-year-old Maximilian P. Cutler following an interview with detectives. He is charged with first-degree assault.
The investigation is ongoing and could lead to further arrests, police said.
