The Anchorage School District has closed all schools Monday due to "icy and deteriorating road conditions." ASD facility rentals are still open for non-school district groups.

The KTVA weather team says in addition to icy roads, strong wind will spread across Southcentral. A high wind warning is in effect for Upper Hillside, Turnagain Arm and Portage Valley. Wind gusts will be close to 90 mph in the afternoon, strong enough to cause damage and power outages.
