US Honor Flag arrives in Anchorage
The U.S. Honor Flag arrived in Anchorage Wednesday to honor Medevac Alaska crew members Robert Cartner and Maddox Burts who died in Friday's plane crash near Cooper Landing.
The tradition began in 2001 with Chris Heisler, who grew up in Anchorage.
Since then the flag has traveled more than 7 million miles and been to over 1,000 events to honor fallen firefighters, police officers, first responders and military members.
