Due to weather and road conditions, the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District said early Monday morning that schools will be on a two-hour delayed start.

The district says they will make an announcement around 7 a.m. if weather and road conditions warrant a full school closure. All morning and afternoon pre-K classes have been canceled.

The delay means buses and other school operations will run two hours later than usual. KPBSD says parents and guardians who decide to keep their children at home will have the absences excused.
