Alaska State Troopers said Dec. 2 that 72-year-old Richard Krause of Willow was killed in the Parks Highway crash Nov. 18.

One person is dead after a crash on the Parks Highway Sunday evening, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Troopers say they responded to the scene of a crash at mile 95 of the highway around 8 p.m.

AST says an investigation found a driver in a sedan was traveling southbound on the Parks Highway in the wrong lane of travel.

"Road conditions were icy with heavy snowfall. The vehicle collided head-on with a commercial [tractor-trailer] driving northbound," troopers wrote.

Medics responded to the scene and the driver of the sedan was declared dead. According to troopers, the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

Troopers say they are continuing to investigate.
