Anchorage police have arrested and charged two people in the killing of Oscar Garcia earlier this month.

In a community alert Wednesday morning, the Anchorage Police Department says 27-year-old Rhadames "Nino" Marmolejos Jr. and 23-year-old Elijah "Thug" Ramirez face multiple charges including kidnapping and first-degree murder.

Garcia was found dead in a vehicle on Merrill Drive on the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 3. Police said he suffered trauma to the body.

During its investigation, APD found there were two people of interest in the case. Officers arrested Marmolejos and Ramirez on unrelated charges on Friday, Nov. 8. After more investigation, police determined they were suspects.

APD says Garia's murder was targeted and not random.
