Senate confirms judge to 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals
The U.S. Senate Wednesday confirmed President Trump's nomination of Oregon judge Danielle J. Hunsaker to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the court wrote in a news release.
Hunsaker was confirmed by a 73-17 vote. She fills a vacancy left when judge Diarmuid F. O'Scannlain assumed senior status in December 2016.
The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals hears cases in nine western states and two Pacific Island jurisdictions. It normally meets monthly in Seattle, San Francisco and Pasadena, California; every other month in Portland; three times per year in Honolulu and twice per year in Anchorage.
