Alaska State Troopers say a 9-month-old was assaulted by a family member and is now being treated at a clinic in Selawik.

Troopers say they do not have information on the extent of the child's injuries.

According to an online dispatch, 26-year-old Albertha Davis was arrested for first-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault for domestic violence. Court records show the assault charge includes injury with a weapon.

Davis was remanded to the Kotzebue Regional Jail.
