Alaska State Troopers were led on a high speed chase Thursday night after attempting a traffic stop in Kodiak.

Troopers attempted to stop 32-year-old Ross Tolle near the intersection of East Rezanof Drive and North Cut-Off Road around 7:30 p.m. because he was known to have warrants out for his arrest.

Instead of stopping, Tolle led troopers on a 15-mile high speed chase, where speeds reached 90 mph. Tolle's vehicle eventually came to a stop because of mechanical problems.

Tolle was arrested and taken to the Kodiak jail. On top of his two warrants, he was charged with failing to stop at the direction of a peace officer, reckless driving, reckless endangerment and violating his conditions of release.
