Alaskan veterans of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War got a nice welcome to Virginia on Wednesday as part of their Last Frontier Honor Flight trip. Two emergency airport vehicles shot water over their plane as they rolled into Reagan National Airport.

The 22 Alaskan veterans were then greeted in the terminal with applause from other travelers.

The group will spend the next couple days touring war memorials and other sites around the Washington D.C. area. This is the group's 13th flight.

The Last Frontier Honor Flight is scheduled to return to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Saturday afternoon around 2:30. The public is invited to welcome Alaskan veterans home.
