Wasilla man charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography
Michael J. Cassista was arraigned Saturday, Sept. 28. He has been charged with 10 counts of child pornography.
According to court documents dated Sept. 26, Cassista "knowingly possessed or knowingly accessed" the pornographic material using a computer.
Wasilla man Michael J. Cassista is facing 10 charges for possessing child pornography and is currently not in custody, according to a Friday release from the Alaska attorney general's office.
A grand jury indicted Cassista on the charges Thursday.
A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Cassista worked as a nurse for the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, the release states.
He is facing a sentence of up to 99 years for each count, if convicted.
