US Marshals: Arkansas murder suspect may be hiding in Alaska
The U.S. Marshals Services believes a capital murder suspect from Arkansas may be hiding in Alaska and is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
Jory John Worthen, 23, is wanted for killing his 20-year-old girlfriend Alyssa Renee Cannon and her 4-year-old son Braydon Ray Ponder, according to a community alert sent by Alaska State Troopers Wednesday.
The victims’ bodies were found June 25 at Cannon’s home in Camden, Arkansas.
Worthen hasn’t been seen since June 22. Marshals are focusing their search on Canada and the Western U.S., including Alaska.
He is described as 6 feet, 2 inches, 157 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
“He has multiple tattoos: on the underside of both forearms, one saying ‘Matthew 7-6’ on his right forearm; on his right hand; on his chest, including one of a skull with wings; and barbed wire on his left bicep,” the alert reads.
Worthen faces two counts of capital murder.
