A 36-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after Anchorage police say he sexually abused a minor at a local park.

On July 26, Crimes Against Children detectives started investigating a report of a man at the Stephenson Park playground off Old Seward Highway and Helen Drive.

According to an alert from the Anchorage Police Department, the man was allegedly at the top of a playground slide when he approached a juvenile female and inappropriately touched her. Police say the man then fled the scene on a bike.

Detectives identified the man as Natchez J. Dunlap. He was arrested on Saturday, Aug. 10, booked into the Anchorage jail and charged with second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

Police say other charges may be added.

APD say anyone who believes they might have been a victim or has information related to this case is asked to call Detective McDonald at (907) 786-2605.
