Seward school bus driver pleads not guilty to child pornography charges
A school bus driver who has worked in the Seward area for more than a decade is facing charges of 19 counts of possession of child pornography.
David Endresen, 64, pleaded not guilty at an arraignment on June 19. However, online court records show a change of plea hearing is scheduled for later this month.
Back in February, the Seward Police Department received a cyber tip from the Anchorage Police Department which is the state's lead agency for the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC).
After obtaining a search warrant, Seward police and the ICAC went through Endresen's home. Seward and Anchorage police worked with the Alaska State Troopers and the Anchorage Computer Crimes Unit in the operation. A laptop, cell phone and more than 20 boxes of printed child sexual exploitation material were found and taken by the agencies during the search.
Currently, no local victims have been discovered but police are imploring parents to speak with their children to rule out the possibility they were a victim of Endresen. He is currently out on $6,500 bail.
If you believe your child may be a victim, Seward police say to contact the department at 907-224-3338.
