The Kenai Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two women dead Sunday morning.
Kenai police say the shooting happened in the early morning hours at a home on California Avenue. The initial investigation showed a suspect fled the scene.
Police describe the suspect as a heavyset black male who was wearing a gray hoodie and orange cap. KPD says the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
"At this time in the investigation, there appears to be some association between a possible suspect and the victims," Kenai police said. "The crime occurred inside the residence."
The police are looking for any witnesses with information, including surveillance video, to learn what happened and to identify the suspect. The Kenai Police Department can be contacted at 907-283-7879.
