Woman arrested for threatening local Chevron employees with gun
A woman has been arrested after police say she threatened employees at a Chevron on Northern Lights Boulevard with a gun.
According to a release from the Anchorage Police Department, dispatch received a report of a disturbance involving a weapon in the area of Minnesota Drive and Northern Lights Boulevard around 4:10 p.m. Sunday.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a woman, later identified as 31-year-old Madison Chacon, entered the Chevron at 1465 West Northern Lights Blvd. with a gun and threatened employees.
"An employee asked [Chacon] to leave after she was observed with drug paraphernalia inside the bathroom," the release states. "[Chacon] pulled out a gun from her bag threatening the employee."
Chacon fled the Chevron on foot. APD officers were able to find her near the area, take her into custody and question her.
A search warrant was obtained for Chacon's bag, where officers discovered drugs, drug paraphernalia and a gun.
Chacon faces multiple charges including assault and robbery; she was transported to jail.
