Anchorage police have arrested three people for the murder of Steven John, 36, who was found dead inside an apartment complex off West 34th Avenue on Jan. 29.

Leone Leone Jr., 22, Kenneth Ketah Jr., 38, and Iosia Fiso, 24, face multiple charges including second-degree murder and kidnapping.

Police say John was physically assaulted before his death and wasn't discovered inside the apartment for several days. In February, police asked the public for help locating a person of interest in the investigation.

Detectives with APD say all three men were also the suspects in a shooting investigation Jan. 9 on the 2900 block of Arctic Boulevard in Midtown. When police arrived on scene, officers found a man in a second-floor apartment who had been shot in the upper body.

A preliminary investigation showed the shooting happened across the street in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant, according to APD. Department spokesperson MJ Thim said multiple shell casings were found in the parking lot.

The man was taken to a local hospital to be treated with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Correction: APD sent an updated release to correct the spelling of one suspect's name. It should be "Iosia," not "Isoia," as previously reported by police. This story has been amended.
