Anchorage police investigating shooting that left 2 injured
Anchorage police are investigating a shooting that left two men injured Friday evening.
Officers with the Anchorage Police Department responded to the 500 block of Donna Drive around 4:30 p.m. Friday after multiple people reported hearing shots fired in the area.
According to a release from the department, a preliminary investigation found there was a disturbance in which multiple shots were fired from one vehicle to another on the road.
The two men in the second vehicle were taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Police say the shooting is still under investigation, but there is no public safety concern at this time.
"Police are looking for any witnesses with information, including surveillance video, to help determine exactly what happened and identify suspects," the release states.
