A man and his two pets died in an early Sunday morning motor home fire, the Anchorage Fire Department confirmed.

Fire Marshal Cleo Hill said the man died just after 1 a.m. in the 5700 block of Arctic Boulevard. 12 units responded to the scene and no firefighters were injured during the response.

The man's identity will be released once the state's medical examiner has finished his investigation.

The fire didn't spread beyond the motor home, Hill said.

Correction: A previous version of this story reported Fire Marshal Cleo Hill's statement that the motor home had been towed from the scene. The motor home, in fact, has not been removed.
