Under high pressure and clear skies, Anchorage climbed to 60° Tuesday afternoon making this the warmest day since October 10th, 2018!

The average high temperature for this time of year is only 51° and typically we don't see our first 60° day until mid-May.

Some cloud cover will sneak into Southcentral overnight, but mostly sunny skies are still likely for the afternoon and we'll continue to stay dry with high temperatures once again reaching the upper 50s and low 60s.

The area of high pressure keeping us dry and warm will drop slightly to the south, allowing a storm system to ride into Southcentral Thursday afternoon. This will bring both clouds and rain to the area and will drop temperatures back to the low 50s, but it's a one day only event and we'll be back to mostly sunny and warm weather for Friday.

Enjoy the heat!
