Funeral arrangements for South High School graduate Sladen Mohl have been set for Saturday at 1 p.m. at Cornerstone Church of God in Anchorage.

Mohl, 19, was killed in Torrance, California on April 18 after being hit by a car while standing on a pedestrian traffic island. The 16-year-old driver that struck him was allegedly under the influence. Mohl played baseball for El Camino College, a short distance from Los Angeles.

Before embarking on the collegiate level, he played for South Anchorage High School and Legion Post 4 teams in Alaska helping lead the school to a state title in 2016.

Mohl's college team held a memorial on April 22.

The South High baseball program will attend the Saturday celebration of life, which is open to the public. As such, the Alaska School Activities Association has rescheduled several games to accommodate.

The Bartlett versus Dimond game will now be played at 4 p.m.

The South versus East game will be played at 7 p.m.
