Here is a list of some of the holiday events this weekend around the Anchorage area.

Community Seders

The Lubavitch Jewish Center of Alaska is hosting a community Passover Seder Friday, April 19 starting at 8 p.m. Reservations are needed. 

Congregation Beth Shalom is hosting a community Passover Seder Saturday, April 20. Reservations are needed.

Easter Services

Alliance Christian Fellowship (AFC) is hosting Easter services Sunday, April 21 at Eagle River High School at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Community Covenant Church in Eagle River is hosting a Good Friday service Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m. Easter services will happen Sunday, April 21 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

There are several events throughout the Archdiocese of Anchorage this weekend, including Good Friday services, Holy Saturday events and Easter Sunday Masses.

The First Assembly of God Church is hosting Easter services Sunday, April 21 at 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

ChangePoint Church is hosting an Easter service Sunday, April 21 at 9:30 a.m.

The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Girdwood is hosting events for kids, including an egg hunt and hay rides, after an Easter sunrise service at 8 a.m.

Alyeska Resort is hosting an Easter sunrise service at their upper tram terminal from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. 

Music

The University of Alaska Anchorage Department of Music is hosting a concert by the University Singers called Passion & Passover, featuring choral works associated with Holy Week at the UAA Recital Hall Saturday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Bunny Sightings/events

JBER Life is hosting a Teen Egg Scramble, an Easter egg hunt in the dark for students ages 13 - 18. It's at the Arctic Oasis Community Center starting on Friday, April at 9:30 p.m. A school or dependent ID card is needed. 

JBER Life is also hosting an Easter Bunny Ice Cream Social at the Arctic Oasis Community Center, Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Alaska Railroad Easter Train goes from Anchorage to Indian and back and features magic shows, treats and a visit from the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m - 12:30 p.m and 3 - 5:30 p.m. 

The Hard Rock Cafe is hosting Breakfast with the Bunny, which includes egg and cupcake decorating for kids on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m - 2 p.m.

American Legion Spenard Post 28 is hosting an Easter egg hunt with face painting and treats on Saturday, April 20 from 1 - 3 p.m.

American Legion Muldoon Post 29 Auxiliary is hosting an Easter egg hunt for kids up to age 12 on Saturday, April 20 from 2 - 4 p.m.

O'Malley Castle Market is hosting an Easter parade with a prize for the best bonnet Saturday, April 20 at 2:30 p.m.

Alyeska Resort is hosting an Easter egg hunt for kids at the hotel pond courtyard Sunday, April 21 at 9:45 a.m. There is also an Easter egg hunt on the mountain for all ages throughout the day.

The Eagle River Lions Club is hosting an Easter egg hunt Sunday, April 21 starting at 12:30 p.m.

Easter Brunch

49th State Brewing Company starting at 11 a.m.

Gallo's Mexican Restaurant starting at 11 a.m. 

Pangea Restaurant and Lounge starting at 10:30 a.m.
