Anchorage police have named the man fatally shot along Taku Drive late Monday evening, and are asking the public for help solving his homicide.

Next of kin for 23-year-old Navarrow Andrews have been notified of his death on the 5400 block of Taku Drive, police said Wednesday afternoon. Officers responding to a shots-fired call at about 10:40 p.m. Monday found Andrews lying near the road with a gunshot wound to his upper body; he was declared dead at the scene.

“Detectives are still seeking to speak with more witnesses as well as more residents who may have heard or saw something suspicious at the time of the shooting,” police wrote Wednesday.
