Police identify man who died in Sunday shooting
Anchorage police have named the man who was killed in a shooting early Sunday morning.
In a Monday release from police, the man is identified as 19-year-old Tion Price.
Officers initially responded to an apartment building at 347 Oklahoma Street for reports of gun shots around midnight on Sunday.
When officers arrived, they found two men and one woman outside of an apartment building. According to the release, one man was shot in the upper body and declared dead at the scene. The other man was also shot in the upper body and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The woman had been assaulted. She was transported to the hospital for care of her injuries, which police wrote were not life-threatening.
The Anchorage Police Department also stated that detectives determined this was an isolated crime and drugs are possibly a factor.
"The victims and those involved in this investigation were acquainted," the release states.
The investigation is ongoing and APD stated no arrests have been made in the case.
