Army IDs Fort Wainwright soldier killed in Parks Highway crash
The person killed in Friday’s head-on collision on the Parks Highway near Talkeetna is 20-year-old Army Pfc. Prentice Letroy Lewis-Rankin, according to release from the U.S. Army Alaska Monday.
Lewis-Rankin was a cavalry scout assigned to the 5th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division.
He had been stationed at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks since May 2018, after training at Fort Benning, Georgia.
