Officers from the The Airport Police and Fire Department have arrested 19-year-old Terrance Paleka, Jr., who Anchorage police say shot and killed 30-year-old Salisa Loucks last month, according to a statement from the Anchorage Police Department.

Paleka was on a flight from Hawaii before he was transferred into APD custody for questioning.

Loucks was found shot to death inside a Jeep SUV in an alley in the 200 block of East 12th Avenue late on Feb. 4.

Police called the shooting drug-related.

Another person, Falesavili J. Mataia, was previously named as a person of interest in this investigation. Police believe Mataia was in the vehicle with Paleka, located next to Loucks, when Loucks was shot. Other occupants of the vehicle were questioned and released.

Paleka faces a charge of second-degree murder.
