APD: Man arrested in early morning shooting investigation
Anchorage police have arrested a suspect in connection to an early morning shooting that sent one man to a local hospital.
Goetz Tessmer, 51, was taken into custody Sunday morning and questioned by detectives before being transported to jail, a release from the Anchorage Police Department said.
Goetz is accused of shooting a man in a parking lot at 33rd Avenue and Minnesota Drive sometime around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.
When police arrived to the scene of the shooting, they found a man shot multiple times in the upper body. Police say he was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Goetz was found in the area, the release stated. He faces multiple charges, including first-degree assault, fourth-degree misconduct involving a weapon and reckless endangerment.
