Suspect arrested in assault that left one man with life-threatening injuries
Anchorage police have arrested a suspect in connection to an assault that left one man with life-threatening injuries.
Norma Kashatok, 32, was taken into custody on Monday after being found in the 1700 block of West 36th Avenue, a release from the Anchorage Police Department said.
Kashatok is a suspect in an investigation into the assault of a man who was found unresponsive with injuries to his upper body on Saturday outside of a residence in the 3400 block of Spenard Road.
Police say she was transported to jail.
A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries and Anchorage police are looking for answers as to what happened to him.
The Anchorage Police Department received a report early Saturday of a man lying unconscious on the ground, according to an alert from APD sent just before noon that day. The man was found outside of a residence in the 3400 block of Spenard Road.
When patrol officers arrived, they man was unresponsive and had injuries to the upper body. He was transported to a local hospital, where his injuries were deemed life-threatening, according to police.
The Crime Scene Team was sent to the scene to investigate. Anyone with information, including surveillance video, is asked to call APD Dispatch at 311.
