APD IDs victim in ‘suspicious death’ at Dimond Boulevard home
Six days after her body was found, police have identified a woman found dead in the Taku/Campbell community.
In an statement Thursday morning, the Anchorage Police Department says 29-year-old Tiffany Parks was found dead in a home in the 1200 block of Dimond Boulevard. They say her next of kin has been notified and that the investigation into her death is still ongoing.
Anchorage police say a woman’s death Friday afternoon at a residence along Dimond Boulevard is considered suspicious, and are asking the public for help learning more.
Officers received word of the body, on the 1200 block of West Dimond Boulevard in the vicinity of the Dimond Estates trailer park, at about 3:30 p.m. according to an APD statement.
“Officers with the Patrol Division arrived and discovered an adult female deceased,” police wrote. “The death appears to be suspicious at this time.”
APD spokesman MJ Thim said no arrests have yet been made in the case, although police are “talking to people.”
“We got the call and the person who called us stayed at the scene until [officers] arrived,” Thim said. “There's some suspicious circumstances at the scene, and just because of that we called the Crime Scene Team out to determine what else needs to be investigated.”
It wasn’t initially clear how long the woman’s body had been at the residence, Thim said.
Police are asking anyone with information on the death or surveillance video from the area to call APD at 311.
