Alaska State Troopers have released more details on the head-on collision that killed one man on the Parks Highway Tuesday.

Troopers first received a report of the collision just before noon on Tuesday. Part of the highway near Mile 63.1 was temporarily closed, reopening by 5:30 p.m. that day.

According to an updated dispatch from AST Wednesday, an investigation found that Christopher Bressler, 30, of North Pole, was traveling northbound on the highway when he crossed into the southbound lane.

Troopers say Bressler's Toyota Tundra collided with a Toyota Corolla, which was driven by Rayn Mors, 26, of Willow. Mors died at the scene.

Mors' passenger, 47-year-old Dawn Jacobs, also of Willow, was seriously injured and taken from the scene by helicopter. Troopers say Bressler and his two passengers, both minors, were also transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

In the updated dispatch, troopers corrected a previous release that stated Mors was the passenger of the vehicle he was in, revealing he was the driver.

Troopers say the investigation is ongoing.
