Every year, Feb.11 is celebrated as National 211 Day. This year, the United Way of Anchorage is reminding Alaskans about the resources available through the service.

Alaska 2-1-1 connects people with the most comprehensive database of community resources, according to a release from the nonprofit Monday.

The resources available cover things like like emergency food and shelter, disability services, counseling, senior services, health care, child care, drug and alcohol programs, legal assistance and educational opportunities.

There are three ways to access Alaska 2-1-1:

Since it began in 2007, Alaska 2-1-1 has made more than 320,000 referrals connecting Alaskans to the services they need.
