Teenager dies in early morning Wasilla shooting
Alaska State Troopers are investigating an early Sunday morning shooting that left one teenager dead.
Troopers in Palmer responded to the Wasilla residence at around 2:30 a.m. after a report of a shooting, according to a dispatch from the department.
An investigation found Jordan Flowers, 19, of Wasilla, pointed a loaded pistol at another 19-year-old and pulled the trigger. The bullet struck the teenager in the neck, killing him.
Jordan was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility after a blood draw and medical clearance. Troopers say he is being held without bail.
The investigation is ongoing, the dispatch stated.
Editor's note: This story has been revised after court documents revealed the teenagers ages as 19, not 18, as troopers previously stated.
