Starting Wednesday, Anchorage will have more options when it comes to food delivery.

DoorDash, an on-demand food delivery service, has expanded to Anchorage, making it the first company of its kind to offer delivery in all 50 states.

Hayley Silvers, a spokesperson for DoorDash, said Anchorage residents are now able to get some of their favorite restaurants delivered straight to their door from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day.

In addition to national staples like Wendy's, customers can order meals from local restaurants, including Silk, Glacier Bowl, Dipper Donuts and Arctic Sushi.

“We’re proud to be the first on-demand platform to offer food delivery in all 50 states,” Tony Xu, CEO and co-founder of DoorDash, said. “In the past year alone we’ve more than quintupled our geographic footprint from 600 to 3,300 cities across North America, democratizing access to door-to-door delivery for hundreds of millions of Americans across the nation.”

In celebration of the expansion, DoorDash is offering discounts to its customers across the U.S.

For one day only, the company is offering delivery services for 50 cents on orders of $10 or more while supplies last. To get the deal, enter the code FIFTY at checkout from open to close on Jan. 16, 2019.

Silvers said customers in the Anchorage area can also take advantage of $1 delivery fees for the next month on all orders over $15.

On top of this, customers can use the code DASHNEW2019 for $5 off their first order of $15 or more, which is valid through Feb. 16, 2019.

The company is also launching in Montana and South Dakota, while expanding into several new cities across North Dakota, West Virginia and Wyoming.
