Anchorage police have arrested a domestic-violence suspect, a day after investigators asked the public for help finding him.

APD spokeswoman Renee Oistad says 31-year-old Sir Toliver was arrested shortly after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, based on information about his location relayed to police. He was taken into custody on the 100 block of Bunnell Street by members of the department's Investigative Support Unit.

Toliver allegedly punched a woman in the face, bit her cheek and headbutted her jaw causing "visible injuries" after an argument in late September.

Oistad says Toliver later pushed the victim down some stairs at their home after she got out of the hospital a day later.

Police say Toliver was also wanted for failing to comply with conditions of probation stemming from a 2016 domestic violence assault charge.
