Troopers: Man killed in Christmas Eve disturbance
Alaska State Troopers say a man is dead following a disturbance off of South Knik Goose Bay Road outside of Wasilla.
Just before 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, troopers responded to a residence on South Outrigger Drive for reports of shots fired. According to a dispatch released on Christmas Day, law enforcement found 51-year-old Julian Myers dead when they arrived.
"The person responsible has been identified and is cooperating with the investigation," AST stated in the dispatch.
Myers' family has been notified and the state medical examiner has taken custody of his body.
The release stated Palmer law enforcement also responded and will be taking over the case. Troopers are not releasing further details on the incident at this time.
