A 4.2 magnitude aftershock was registered near Big Lake just after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16 according to the US Geological Survey and UAF Alaska Earthquake Center.

UAF's data shows the quake was 35.5 miles deep, and was 22 miles north west of Anchorage. 

It was rolled through parts of Southcentral, including Anchorage, Wasilla, Willow, Eagle River, Chugiak and Hatcher Pass.
