Alaska State Troopers is investigating the death of a 29-year-old man after he lost control of a snow machine over the weekend.

Troopers were advised of the accident just before 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, officials said in a trooper dispatch released on Sunday afternoon.

Donald Bunselmeier, of Delta Junction, was operating a snow machine at Summit near Paxton when he, at some point, lost control, officials said.

The snow machine became "lodged on top of him," officials said. He died as a result of his injuries at the scene.

"Next of kin was notified," officials said in the dispatch. "The State Medical Examiner was contacted and has requested an autopsy."

Though no foul play is suspected, officials said the case is still under investigation.
