Gov. Mike Dunleavy, along with 12 other newly-elected governors, will be meeting with President Donald Trump this week in the nation's capital, according to a press release sent by his administration on Monday.

"This is the first of many opportunities to work in concert with the President and federal officials on advancing my administration's priorities, like bringing new jobs and investment to Alaska," Dunleavy said in the release.

The sitting president invites newly-elected governors from states and territories to Washington, D.C. after every election. The executives will attend a function at the White House on Thursday.
