Repairs to the damage caused by the Nov. 30 earthquake to Vine Road in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough are underway.

Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities says they are partnering with the borough to fix Vine Road and reopen it between Shady Grove Lane and Country Wood Drive.

A release from DOT&PF called the damage done in the quake "remarkable." The department has assigned a construction manager to the project and is working with a private contractor, Northern Asphalt Construction, to begin repairs.

Updates on the work will be posted on the DOT&PF website.
