Many state offices in Southcentral Alaska, as well as the University of Alaska Anchorage campus, are on track to reopen after Friday’s earthquake.

The State of Alaska’s office closure Twitter feed announced plans for offices in Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla and Palmer to reopen for the first time Wednesday following the 7.0 temblor.

UAA classes will resume on Wednesday, university officials said Tuesday night, with classes from the still-closed Chugiak-Eagle River campus resuming at alternate locations.

Anchorage School District schools remain closed for the week, with students’ return to most Mat-Su schools set for Thursday.

According to ASD, parents and students should be alert for messages from their school principals in the coming days on when students can retrieve personal items left behind at school during Friday’s evacuations.
