Southcentral state offices again closed Tuesday after quake
State offices in Anchorage and the Mat-Su will again be closed on Tuesday as crews continue to assess damage across the region from Friday’s 7.0 earthquake.
The state’s office closures Twitter feed announced the decision Monday night affecting Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla and Palmer offices, which follows a Monday closure announced last weekend.
Anchorage schools remain closed for the week, with the University of Alaska Anchorage also closed Tuesday. Most Mat-Su Borough schools are also closed through Tuesday, with a few exceptions including Glacier View, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek and Willow elementary schools, Su Valley High School and the Beryozova Russian-language immersion program.
