Over 1,000 meals served and over 100 volunteers making it possible. Bean's Cafe hosted its annual Thanksgiving safe place for homeless Alaskans to warm up with a hot-and-ready meal.

Every year, the homeless shelter in Downtown Anchorage serves up a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal with helpings like turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and you can't forget the pumpkin pie.

The early dinner started at 11 a.m. and ran until 1:30 p.m.
