Former APD officer wins over $2M in wrongful termination suit
A former Anchorage police lieutenant wins his lawsuit saying he was wrongfully terminated. He's now being awarded more than $2 million.
In 2015, former Lieutenant Anthony Henry filed a lawsuit against the Municipality of Anchorage saying he was wrongfully terminated.
Henry says he was retaliated against and dismissed after trying to protect a fellow officer who was diagnosed with a sensitive medical condition.
The Municipality of Anchorage claimed it was because he compromised an investigation.
On Friday, a jury sided with Henry and he was awarded almost $2.3 million.
