APD calling 'suspicious' Black Angus Inn death a homicide
Anchorage police say they're investigating a "suspicious death" at the Black Angus Inn on Gambell Street as a homicide.
Police responded to the hotel Wednesday around 10:30 a.m. after reports of a dead man inside, APD wrote in a statement Thursday morning.
"The victim was assaulted and died as a result of those injuries," police wrote.
The victim was identified as 59-year-old James Page. Based on evidence found at the scene, detectives have determined the death to be suspicious, according to police.
Anyone with information on the investigation, including surveillance video, is asked to call police dispatch at 311 (option #1).
