Sparks flew in the final televised debate left between Republican Mike Dunleavy and Democrat Mark Begich ahead of the general election.

Just two weeks prior, it was a three-way governor's race that included incumbent independent Gov. Bill Walker. Walker, however, suspended his campaign in an announcement at the Alaska Federation of Natives convention.

Since then, the remaining candidates have aired their stark differences on budgeting, paying out the Permanent Fund dividend and Medicaid.

KTVA's Joe Vigil moderated the evening debate, which featured questions on public safety, budgets, public education, Ballot Measure 1 and the dividend.
