Anchorage police say they have arrested a 25-year-old man who was involved in two separate shootings that killed one man and sent another to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Dashawn Street was arrested Friday after an extensive homicide and shooting investigation, APD said. 

Police say he shot a person outside a food truck on the 8800 block of Old Seward Highway around 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 29 then took off. 

"The suspect walked away and fled the scene in a vehicle. The victim ran back to his vehicle and his adult female passenger transported him to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries," police wrote. 

The same morning, around 4:50, he shot an adult male in the hallway of an apartment complex located on the 100 block of Price Street. 

"The victim was shot once in the upper body and died at the hospital," police said. "The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle."

Police later identified the victim as 24-year-old Fa'avea Seau who later died from his injuries. 

Around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, an officer with the Investigative Support Unit located Street in the 1400 block of Medfra Street, but the suspect tried to get away. 

"He attempted to flee in a vehicle and rammed several APD vehicles trying to escape," police said. "He was taken into custody, questioned by detectives and transported to the Anchorage jail."

No officers were injured during the getaway attempt. 

Street faces multiple charges including first- and second-degree murder, as well as first-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault.
