Anchorage police have reopened the Seward Highway's northbound lane south of Anchorage after a landslide Saturday evening.

According to APD dispatchers, the Mile 105 slide was first reported just after 7 p.m., and cleared shortly before 11 p.m. Police and road crews remained in the area, however, due to the risk of further slides.

"Drivers are advised to exercise caution when traveling in the area of the Seward Highway at Mile 105," police wrote.

Although the highway wasn’t closed, dispatchers said traffic was backed up for a few miles due to the slide.
