Anglers 15 years old and under are invited to fish at Seward Lagoon and Lagoon Outfall Stream on Friday through Sunday.

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game evaluated the coho salmon in the Lagoon Output and estimated there were enough to open the last Youth-Only Fishery of the season.

"Fishing for coho out of Seward has been outstanding over the last couple of weeks and this presents a good opportunity for kids to catch a salmon," said Area Management Biologist Jay Baumer.

Anglers can use a single-hook with bait or a single-hook artificial lure with or without bait, according to Fish and Game, but not multiple or treble hooks; and no snagging is allowed.

The bag limit is two coho per day and two in possession. Fish and Game says no other fish can be harvested.
